COVERAGE:


The terminal blocks are for use with copper and aluminum conductors, and
aluminum conductors rated at a maximum of 1500 V and 2000 kcmil, intended to
provide for the connection of wiring designed to be used in accordance with the
Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
 
The terminal blocks are intended to support wiring permanently and to insulate
wire terminations and joints from each other and from the surface on which the
terminal block is mounted.  Terminal
blocks may also include constructions with surge suppression and / or short
circuit ratings.

  • The following markings shall appear on the device: submittor's
    identification;

  • CSA Mark.


The following markings shall appear on the device or, where this is not
practicable, on or in the carton:


  • catalogue number or equivalent;

  • maximum voltage;

  • conductor range (where applicable);

  • ampere rating (where applicable);

  • torque value (where applicable);

  • installation or tooling instructions.


The following marking shall appear on a device when a Short Circuit Current
Rating (SSCR) is applicable:


  • SSCR rating

  • the phrase "Short-Circuit Current Rating" and the rms symmetrical or
    direct-current short-circuit current rating in amperes.
  • the maximum

    voltage rating for each short-circuit current rating. The phrase "WHEN
    PROTECTED BY A Fuse / Breaker WITH A MAXIMUM RATING OF max____ amps"
