coil assemblies and single-phase, polyphase multi-winding and auto-transformers.

This category does not include certain special transformers, transformers for
luminous-tube signs, oil- or gas-burner ignition, cold-cathode interior lighting,
electronic or liquid-filled designs.

installation in an enclosure of other Certified electrical equipment and subject to
further investigation by CSA International. Electrical spacings on component type
transformers in the areas outside the coils may not have been assessed. The suitability of
electrical spacings in these areas must be assessed to CSA Standard C22.2 No 66 or
CSA Standard C22.2 No 66.x Series or to the
Standard applicable in the end use equipment.
