WIREWAYS AND BUSWAYS - Cabletroughs

COVERAGE:

Metal and non-metallic cabletroughs and associated fittings greater than 100mm trade
size for the support of cables and insulated conductors.

REQUIREMENTS:

CSA-C22.2 No 0 General Requirements – Canadian Electrical Code, Part II
CSA C22.2 No 126.1 Metal Cable Tray Systems
CSA C22.2 No 126.2 Non-Metallic Cable Tray Systems

MARKING:

All marking required by CSA must be permanent, legible, and located where readily
accessible for review after assembly of the equipment, except as permitted otherwise. The
contents consist of:

  • submittor's identification;
  • model designation or equivalent;
  • load class designation;
  • "NON VENTILATED" or "VENTILATED" as applicable;
  • complete installation instructions;
  • additional markings as may be required by the applicable Standard(s) for specific models
    or usages;
  • CSA Mark;
  • a warning label to read, "WARNING! DO NOT USE AS A WALKWAY, LADDER, OR SUPPORT FOR
    PERSONNEL.  USE ONLY AS A MECHANICAL SUPPORT FOR CABLES, TUBING AND RACEWAYS".
