  3. The defrost heater series designations have three prefix numbers (manufacturers reference to drawing number system).
  4. Series "87" has suffix numbers (manufacturers reference to drawing number system).
  5. The immersion heater element catalogue number consists of the series number 157-87 followed by 7 suffix digits, 427-, 157- followed by 9 suffix digits.
  6. The oven element catalogue number consists of the 5 digit series designation followed by 7 suffix digits.
  7. On oven elements, the required marking is die stamped on the sheath or supporting brackets.
  8. Series 319, 393, and 118 heaters are followed by 9 digits.
  9. The model designation of the crankcase heater may include additional seven random digits suffix.
  10. Model Series B, D, F, G, R, T, may be followed by additional suffix numbers and letters.
  11. Series 78F elements may have suffix numbers to indicate electrical rating and customer part number.
  12. The Certification of range surface elements Models P4, S4, AS4, 70A, P6, AS6, S6, 70B, P8, AS8, S8 and 70C includes their use in combination with Certified Molex Corp. range receptacle block Part No P-50-16-0281. The final acceptability of the heater element-terminal block combination in a product is to be determined by the Canadian Standards Association.
  • Screw plug immersion heaters, Series EMT, MT, TM*, TMW, TMW-1, TMW-2, DWH-MR, DWH, ARCEMT, ARCMT, AREMT, ARMT, ARTM, ARTMW, 600V and less (except where 0.246 in dia heaters are used the limit is 250V and less) 212W/sq in max.
  • Flange type immersion heaters, Series TTSF, HI, WI, TTUH, TM*, 600V and less (except where 0.246 in dia heaters are used, the limit is 250V and less), 212W/sq in max. * May be either a screw plug or flange type heater.
  • Flanged immersion heaters, Series 436-302354 or 436-303871, 480V max, 120W per sq in max.- Flanged immerson heaters, Series TMP, TMIP, TMIIP, TMISP, TMMP, TMSP, TMSSP, TMSSSP and TMTP, followed by suffix letters and numbers, rated 600V and less, with watt density limit 90 per sq. in.

  1. The screw plug immersion heaters, Series EMT and MT, followed by one or two digit to identify the unit series. Series EMT, MT and TM, followed by a max of four digits to identify the rating, may be provided with the suffixes I, II, IS, M,O, OIS, OS, OSS, S, SS, T, W, WI, WS, WSS, E4, C30, C31, C32, C33, C36, C37, V, W or XX and may include Prefix AR or ARC. Series may include model Suffix A, 3 or 3A. Series EMT and MT with prefix AR may include suffixes T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 or T8, Series EMT and MT with prefix ARC may include suffixes T1, T2 or T3.   Series TM with prefix AR may include suffixes TL or TH.
  2. The screw plug immersion heaters, Series TMW-1 and TMW-2, followed by a max of four digits to identify rating, may be provided with the suffixes I, S, SS, V, W or XX.
  3. The flanged type immersion heaters, Series TM, may be provided with the suffixes I, II, IS, M, O, S, SS, SSS, T, B or F, followed by 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, 27A, 27, 36A, 36, 45, 54, 60, 72 or 90 to identify the element quantity followed by a max of three digits to identify the rating, may be provided with suffixes 5, 15, 25, 3, 4, 6, 9, 15, 25, F1, H, L, M, R1, E4, T1, T2, T3, C30, C31, C32, C33, C36, C37, A, S, V, W or XX.
  4. The screw plug immersion heaters, Series DWH and DWH-MR followed by a max of 2 digits to identify the rating, may be provided with suffixes I or S. Series DWH-MR may be provided with suffixes PS.
  5. The flange type immersion heaters, Series TTUH, followed by a max of four digits to identify the rating, provided with suffixes CO when thermostat is included, may be provided with suffix A.
  • Seamless strip heaters, Series NS, NSA, NSL, SSNH, NNSHM, SSE, SSEB, 600V and less 212W/sq in max.

  1. Suffix numbers may be added to all cartridge heater series for customer identification not affecting CSA Certification.
  2. Suffixes J1, J2, J3, K1, K2 or K3 may be added to cartridge heater Series CIR (3/8, 3/4 dia) C-2, C-3, C-4 and C-5 to denote the addition of Type J or Type K thermocouple and its location.
  3. A Suffix S may be added to all cartridge heater series to denote the addition of a swaged-on stainless steel sleeve.
  4. Suffixes 2C to 12C may be added to denote the addition of fittings.
