This recall involves specified models of Usines Giant Factories Inc. gas water heaters distributed in Canada between March 11, 2021 and March 24, 2021.

Hazard identified: Usines Giant Factories Inc. has discovered that certain models of its atmospheric gas water heaters were manufactured using the incorrect model of flue reducer, which may pose a carbon monoxide leak hazard.

As of June 28, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold: The company reported that 533 units of the affected product were distributed in Canada. Giant has located and corrected 527 of those units but were unable to locate the remaining 6 uncorrected units.

Time period sold: The affected products were distributed in March 2021.

Place of origin: Manufactured in Canada
