In co-operation with CSA International, Brother International Corp. (Canada) Ltd., of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC., today announced a voluntary recall of about 1052 laser printers. The fuser assembly can overheat, posing a fire hazard. No incidents have been reported in Canada.
As a precautionary measure, Brother (Canada) is recalling model HL 1060 printer. The model number can be found on the top of the unit or adjacent to the control panel. This model was discontinued in 2000.
Consumers having this printer should stop using the printer immediately, and return the printer to an authorized service center for free repair.
