In co-operation with CSA International, Encon Eye Protection of Coudersport, PA is voluntarily recalling approximately 5,400 industrial eye protectors. The side shield on the protectors, all with the model designation NASCAR, does not meet the requirements of the applicable CSA standard, CAN/CSA-Z94.3-00, Industrial Eye and Face Protectors. In addition, the recalled products improperly bear the CSA Mark, since they are not CSA-certified.

Encon is in the process of modifying the temple on the NASCAR product and will submit the newly-modified product to CSA for certification as soon as possible.

Consumers with a recalled product should return it to the factory, and it will be replaced with one of another style designed to meet or exceeds the requirements of the above-mentioned CSA standard.
