In cooperation with CSA International, NY Thermal Inc. of Sussex, New Brunswick announces the voluntary recall in Canada of approximately 3,395 Ti Series Boilers. In rare cases of excessively acidic flue gas condensate, a condensate drain fitting used with these boilers may deteriorate and fail. In the event of such a failure, products of combustion (flue gases) including Carbon Monoxide (CO) may enter the space where the boiler is located, posing a risk of CO poisoning.

One incident has been reported in Canada of a leaking fitting resulting in a CO alarm activation. No injuries have been reported.

This recall affects “Trinity” boiler models Ti100, Ti150, Ti150C, Ti200 and Ti200C, manufactured between November 2005 and January 8, 2007, and model Ti400, manufactured before January 8, 2007. The date of manufacture will appear on each side of the carton in which the boiler is shipped. The date of manufacture is also located inside the front cover on the Quality Control Report decal on the line next to “Date” under “Trinity Combustion Analysis”
