Today, CSA Group, a leading global provider of standards development, testing, and certification services, opened a new testing laboratory in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). The new laboratory will specialize in testing and certification services for medical devices such as microscopes, sterilizers and electrical measuring and laboratory devices as well as industrial equipment and household appliances. Testing and certification to international standards is an important service for manufacturers wanting to gain access to global markets.

In 2011, CSA Group expanded into Europe with the establishment of its European headquarters in Frankfurt (Germany) and since then has accelerated its growth and will continue to expand. CSA Group’s operations in Germany also include a laboratory in Strasskirchen, which conducts testing and certification of automotive components, industrial products, radio, IT/AV, and power tools, and is also one of the biggest electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) laboratories in Europe.

Today’s opening ceremony was attended by Richard Tarasofsky, ‎Commercial Councilor and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Embassy, Anja Obermann, CEO of Frankfurt Economic Development, and Rainer Waldschmidt, CEO of Hessian Agency.

CSA Group also has branch offices in Italy and The Netherlands, and testing facilities for medical and lab equipment devices in Switzerland and Turkey and employs more than 400 experts across Europe. In addition, CSA Group is planning to expand its facilities in Germany and UK over the next several years in order to meet the growing demand of clients Europe and around the world.
