Thailand (NBTC) - Criteria for Radio Frequency for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for General Use

NBTC has officially announced the criteria and conditions of authorization to use radio frequency for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) for General Use.
Key changes:
1) Radar frequency 24.05-24.25 GHz, 100 mW EIRP is newly released. However, NBTC is under process to establish the technical standard for this frequency. It is estimated that NBTC will issue the technical standard, and allow the type approval for this frequency 6 months later.
2) Exempt import license for user that brings drone into the country for temporary use, and will bring drone out of the country when finishs using.
3) User requires to pay a fee 200 Bath(+VAT) for each drone registration with NBTC (Previously, there is no registration fee).
4) SDoC and UAV (drone) registration with NBTC before the notification effective date remains valid. There is no action required.
