Enterprise Singapore issued the Circular 2020-06 on October 16, 2020 about revising the risk categorization for Lamp Control Gears from the high risk to medium risk category.

Lamp Control Gears are regulated under Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme (CPS Scheme).

When carrying out re-certification of Controlled Goods in the medium risk category, if there are no other technical changes to the products, registered suppliers will not need to provide a valid new test report dated within 3 years from date of renewal.
