Effective January 31, 2020

The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (SDPPI) released Decision 36 2020, amending Decision 197 2019. The SDPPI has accredited additional laboratories to certify HKT products (cellular phones, handheld computers and tablets). There is now a total of 150 recognized foreign test labs.

Recognized labs need to meet the following requirements:

• The laboratories have the ability to test telecommunication tools and/or equipment in accordance with technical requirements stipulated in Indonesia or their equal standard
• Labs with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation
• Labs registered in GCF (Global Certification Forum) and/ or CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association)
