CSA International Announces a Safety Alert Regarding Counterfeit Scorpion, TIG and Tiger Safety Footwear Distributed by Harron Trading LTD

CSA International is announcing a consumer safety alert regarding counterfeit Scorpion, TIG and Tiger safety footwear distributed by Harron Trading Ltd., Markham, Ontario. The footwear bears unauthorized CSA registered trademarks and may pose a threat of serious injury to the user due to failure to comply with testing for Grade 1 Toe Impact, Sole Penetration Resistance and Electric Shock Resistance.

The affected footwear are of a running shoe style with Scorpion, TIG or Tiger trademarks or tradename on the tongue. These may be constructed with black leather or suede uppers. Style numbers include:

  1. Scorpion: style numbers S913-L and S913-V and S-5904L with “LM 1306746″ printed on the tongue
  2. TIG: style numbers S-5504L, S-5506L and S-5505M and S-5804L, S-5806L and S-5904/06 with “LM 112768″ printed on the tongue
  3. Tiger: S-5804L, S-5806L, S-5904L and S-5906L with “LM 112768″ printed on the tongue

All S913-L and S913-V safety footwear bear Omega (ie. “e”) tags sewn onto the outside of the footwear. All of the other styles bear both green triangle and Omega (ie. “e”) tags sewn onto the outside of the footwear that incorporate illegal CSA trademarks.
