For over 40 years, CSA Group standards have helped mitigate specific risks and hazards associated with occupational diving and hyperbaric environments. The CSA Z275 series of standards set out requirements for most kinds of occupational diving as well as provide guidance for supervisors and support personnel. Diver training is a critical element to overall diver safety. CSA Z275.5 contains requirements and performance specifications for professional diver training facilities and curricula as well as prerequisites for diver training candidates.
Highlights of Z275.5 Include:
Contains performance specifications for both divers seeking upgrades or those seeking diver competency recognition
Applies to occupational diver trainees, training organizations, instructors, and facilities
Describes the requirements for trainee assessment, instructor qualifications, and minimum equipment for each level of training
Provides guidance on the auditing of diver training facilities and programs
