1.1.1 This standard applies to portable type gas camp stoves, with one or more surface burners for use:
(a) with propane (b) with butane (c) outdoors only (d) indoors/outdoors.
For the purpose of this standard indoors refers to a confined space, such as: tents, trailers, cottages, fishing huts, cabins, and other similarly enclosed areas.
1.1.2 This standard applies to portable type gas camp stoves having:
(a) a regulated pressure (b) a non-regulated pressure.
1.1.3 This standard applies to stoves:
(a) directly connected to the container (b) remotely connected to the container
1.1.4 This standard does not apply to stoves incorporating or designed to be used with a fuel supply of 200 g (7 ounces) or less.
1.1.5 Stoves which comply with the provisions will not necessarily be acceptable if when examined and tested are found to have other features which impair the results contemplated by these provisions.
1.1.6 Stoves and components employing materials or having forms of construction differing from those detailed in these provisions may be examined and tested according to the intent of the provisions and if found to be satisfactorily equivalent, may be given recognition.
1.1.7 This Standard applies to stoves constructed entirely of new, unused parts and materials.
