Preface
This is the fourth edition of C22.2 No. 94 (now CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 94), Special Purpose Enclosures. It is one of a series of Standards issued by the Canadian Standards Association under Part II of the Canadian Electrical Code. It supersedes previous editions published in 1952, 1970, and 1976 and is written in SI (metric) units.
It contains requirements for types of enclosures that were not previously included in this Standard. In addition, some alternative tests have been added.
This Standard was prepared by a Subcommittee of the Technical Committee on Industrial Products under the jurisdiction of the Standards Steering Committee on the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II, and was formally approved by these Committees. It has been approved as a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada.
