Clause 4, Some General Comparisons between Quality and Environmental Management Systems, gives the reader an idea of some of the similarities and differences between ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996, including a comparison of the basic evolution and the format of the documents.
Clause 5, Combining the Clauses of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996, is made up of many subclauses that reprint the actual texts of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:1996. The shared characteristics and differentiating characteristics of the two documents are outlined. The compatibility of the clauses under review is rated.
