This is the first edition of CSA A123.25, Asphalt core boards used in roofing.
This Standard is intended to provide minimum requirements for asphalt core boards intended for use as a substrate to receive an asphalt-based, low-slope roofing membrane.
This Standard was prepared by the Technical Committee on Bituminous Roofing Materials, under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Steering Committee on Construction and Civil Infrastructure, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee.
This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.

This Standard applies to fully supported asphalt core boards installed horizontally and vertically.
This Standard does not specify requirements for the use of asphalt core boards in protecting a substrate.
This Standard does not address asphalt-based protection boards used in waterproofing; for information on these products, refer to ASTM D6506.
