Preface
This is the second edition of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 62, Surface Raceway Systems, part of a series of Standards issued under Part II of the Canadian Electrical Code. It supersedes the previous edition published in 1972.
This edition includes the following changes:
(a) title (previously entitled Surface Raceways and Lighting Fixture Raceways and Fittings); and
(b) requirements for nonmetallic surface raceways in addition to metal raceways.
The following bulletin has been incorporated:
808A - Requirements for Nonmetallic Surface Raceways and Fittings.

This Standard was prepared by a Subcommittee of the Technical Committee on Wiring Products under the jurisdiction of the Steering Committee on the Canadian Electrical Code, Part II and was formally approved by these Committees.
This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.
Scope
1.1
These requirements apply to metal and nonmetallic surface raceway systems and combinations thereof intended for installations in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
1.2
These requirements do not apply to lighting equipment as specified in CSA Standard C22.2 No. 9, wireways as specified in CSA Standard C22.2 No. 26, or cable trays as specified in CSA Standard CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 126.
