COVERAGE:

Compounds for use in insulating and jacketing of wire and cable products.

REQUIREMENTS:

Compounds shall be capable of withstanding applicable tests specified in:

CSA-C22.2 No. 0 General Requirements – Canadian Electrical Code, Part II
CSA-C22.2 No 0.3 Test Methods For Electrical Wires and Cables – (And Applicable End-Product
Wire and Cable Standards)

The compound shall be evaluated to additional requirements as requested by the
manufacturer of the insulating compound.

MARKING:

Containers (drums etc.), or in the case of large batches, shipping documents will bear:

  • manufacturer's identification (company name, tradename/trademark or CSA file number;
  • catalogue designation;
  • date marking or lot number;
  • CSA Mark with the Component Acceptance (Triangle) Indicator.
