PLUMBING SUPPLY FITTINGS - Automatic Compensating Valves



COVERAGE:

Automatic compensating
valves intended to be installed at the point of use, where the user has access
to flow or final temperature controls, and where no further mixing occurs
downstream of the device
. Automatic compensating valves certified to ASME
A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 are also in compliance with the requirements of ASSE
1016/ASME A112.1016/CSA B125.16.

Individual Showers and Tub/Shower Combinations

MARKING:

All marking required by CSA must be permanent, legible, and visible after
installation of the fitting. The contents consist of:

?Submittor’s
Identification
? CSA Mark

? The model
? The type of the device (i.e., Type P, Type T, or Type T/P)
? Devices shall have identifiable control settings:
(a) in which the settings are indicated by words (e.g., ?cold?, ?warm?, or
?hot?), numbers, or graphically (e.g., colour coding); and
(b) that indicate the direction or means of adjustment to change the
temperature.

The marking method consists of casting or stamping into the body of the fitting,
electro etching on trim, or an equally permanent marking applied at the factory.
Where a label is used, it shall be a CSA listed Type B label.

Products shall be installed in Accordance with the Local Code of the Authority
Having Jurisdiction.
