COVERAGE:

Commercial, industrial, institutional and household bath and shower fittings,
including shower heads, hand showers, body spray, adjustment mechanism or
function controls and shower accessories.

REQUIREMENTS:

ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 Plumbing Supply Fittings

MARKING:

All marking required by CSA must be permanent, legible, and visible after
installation of the fitting. The contents consist of:

  • Submittor's identification;
  •  CSA Mark
  •  Shower heads and hand-held showers shall be marked with the
    manufacturer?s specified maximum flow rate, in L/min and gpm;
  •  The following bath and shower mixing valves shall have their
    temperature control settings identified alphabetically, numerically, or
    graphically(Note: Graphically includes colour):

(a) single-handle valves; and
(b) single-control valves.

  • Additional marking required by ASME A112.18.7 for Deck Mounted Bath/Shower
    Transfer Valves with Integral Backflow Protection;
  •  Additional marking required by ASSE 1062 for Temperature Actuated,
    Flow Reduction (TAFR) Valves for Individual Supply Fittings.

The marking method consists of casting or stamping into the body of the
fitting, electro etching on trim, or an equally permanent marking applied at the
factory. Where a label is used, it shall be a CSA listed Type B label or
equivalent.

Products shall be installed in Accordance with the Local Code of the
Authority Having Jurisdiction.
