All gas valves and pilot shutoff devices in this section are intended for operation at
an ambient temperature of 32?F (0?C) to 125?F (51.5?C) unless higher or lower temperatures are indicated
by statement.
Maximum pressure of 1/2 psig.
Testing for use with liquefied petroleum gases under American National Standard Z21.15
has been conducted in accordance with the OSHA Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory
Program.
Sizes shown are for standard female tapered pipe threads unless otherwise indicated.
MARKING:
All valves shall bear the following markings:
- Permanent record of the manufacturer's identifying marking. The wrench
grip areas may be used for marking. - Date of manufacture.
- A permanent marking specifying the maximum pressure rating of ? psi (3.5
KPa) shall be provided on each valve.Exception: For gas burner valves, pilot shut-off valves, pilot adjustment
valves and pilot shut-off devices, this marking may be located on the
package or on a notice placed inside the package in which the valve(s) or
device(s) is shipped. - Manual gas valves suitable for use on food service equipment shall bear a
legible permanent Delta symbol marking with a "c" inside. Location
shall be on the body, top cap or stem, with the letter "c" not
less than 3/32 inch (2.4mm) high. - CSA Mark with "US" indicator.
