1.1 This workbook has been designed to help you improve your knowledge of your organization's environmental performance through the selection of environmental indicators and associated measures. Environmental indicators and associated measures are at the centre of environmental performance evaluation.
1.2 This workbook sets out a step-by-step approach and uses examples to guide you through the process of selecting environmental indicators and associated measures for evaluating your organization's environmental perforrnance. The workbook provides space for you to record information related to your own organization and includes worksheets to help you select potential environmental indicators and associated measures.
1.3 The procedure to be used in this workbook is illustrated in Figure 2.
