The 2025 edition is the latest for the B149.1, Natural gas and propane installation code.
CSA B149.1:25 applies to the installation of:
- Appliances, equipment, components, and accessories where gas is to be used for fuel purposes.
- Piping and tubing systems.
- Vehicle-refueling appliances and associated equipment.
- Stationary gas engines and turbines.
The code has been reviewed by regulatory authorities across Canada, and is expected to be adopted into law in every Canadian province and territory.

The committee members who develop the Code have had experience with most of the information contained in this Handbook, and this experience has served to facilitate their work. The content of the Handbook was derived primarily from submissions made to the CSA B149 Installation Code Committee from a variety of sources.
