This is the first edition of CSA EXP12, Networked lighting controls and connected lighting. This Express Document is not a consensus publication; that is, it is not a Standard and it has not been formally reviewed or approved by a CSA Technical Committee.
CSA Group acknowledges that the development of this Document was made possible, in part, by the financial support of BC Hydro, etc.
Scope
1.1
This Express Document (herein referred to as this Document) represents an awareness material to be used by industry stakeholders to accelerate the deployment of networked lighting controls systems and connected lighting.
1.2
This Document applies in principal to solid state lighting sources but can be extended to other lighting sources.
1.3
This Document applies to the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors for indoor and outdoor lighting applications, except for street and roadway lighting applications that are covered by CSA EXP05.
1.4
This Document contains no requirements. In this Document, should is used to express a recommendation or that which is advised and may is used to express an option or that which is permissible within the limits of the Document.
