CSA Preface
This is the third edition of CSA C60871-2, Shunt capacitors for a.c. power systems having a rated voltage above 1 000 V — Part 2: Endurance testing, which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of the identically titled IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Technical Specification 60871-2 (third edition, 2014-11). It supersedes the previous edition published in 2003 as CAN/CSA-C60871-2 (adopted IEC TS 60871-2:1999).
For brevity, this Standard will be referred to as CSA C60871-2 throughout.
This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.
Scope
This part of IEC 60871, which is a technical specification, applies to capacitors according to IEC 60871-1 and gives the requirements for ageing tests of these capacitors.

Préface CSA
Ce document constitue la troisième édition de CSA C60871-2, Condensateurs shunt pour réseaux à courant alternatif de tension assignée supérieure à 1 000 V — Partie 2 : Essais d’endurance. Il s’agit de l’adoption, avec exigences propres au Canada, de la spécification technique IEC (Commission Électrotechnique Internationale) 60871-2 (troisième édition, 2014-11), qui porte le même titre. Il remplace l’édition antérieure publiée en 2003, qui portait la désignation CAN/CSA-C60871-2 (norme IEC TS 60871-2:1999 adoptée).
Par souci de brièveté, tout au long de ce document, il sera appelé « CSA C60871-2 ».
Cette norme a été élaborée conformément aux exigences du Conseil canadien des normes concernant les Normes nationales du Canada. Cette norme été publiée en tant que Norme nationale du Canada par Groupe CSA.
Scope
La présente partie de l'IEC 60871, qui est une spécification technique, s’applique aux condensateurs conformes à l'IEC 60871-1 et donne les exigences relatives aux essais de vieillissement de ces condensateurs.
