1.1.1 These requirements cover unattended gas-fired un-vented construction heaters, other than infra-red and radiant type heaters, for use in heating build¬ings under construction, alteration or repair. Vented heaters will be tested to the applicable requirements of the current Standard for Gravity Forced Air Central Furnaces, CGA2.3, current Standard for Gas Unit Heaters CGA2.6 and current Standard for Industrial and Commercial Gas-Fired Package Furnaces, CGA3.2.
1.1.2 These requirements cover unattended, un-vented con¬struction heaters intended for use with either:
(a) Natural gas, or (b) commercial propane having a composition as specified in the Canadian Government Speci¬fications Board Standard 3-GP-10a-1966.
1.1.3 These requirements cover unattended gas-fired un-vented construction heaters with rated inputs up to and including a maximum input of 10,000,000 BTUH.
1.1.4 Construction heaters having rated inputs in excess of 10,000,000 BTUH may be investigated to the intent of these specifications, with the addition of appli¬cable requirements which may be specified by the authority having jurisdiction.
1.1.5 A construction heater that complies with these re¬quirements shall not be considered acceptable if it has features that impair the results contemplated by these requirements
