Scope

This technical report contains guidelines regarding the maintenance on HIGH FREQUENCY SURGICAL EQUIPMENT, as defined in clause 3 below, to be performed by clinical engineering personnel.

The application guidelines of this report deal with the maintenance of HIGH FREQUENCY SURGICAL EQUIPMENT constructed according to the safety requirements of IEC 601-1 and IEC 601-2-2.

Not all existing HIGH FREQUENCY SURGICAL EQUIPMENT meets the minimum requirements of current International Standards; however, the guidelines in this report will still be helpful when maintaining these devices. /

Domaine d’application

Le présent rapport technique contient des directives concernant les opérations de maintenance des APPAREILS D'ÉLECTROCHIRURGIE À COURANT HAUTE FRÉQUENCE définis à l'article 3 ci-après, devant être effectuées par le personnel technique biomédical.

Les directives d'application du présent document traitent de la maintenance des APPAREILS D'ÉLECTROCHIRURGIE À COURANT HAUTE FRÉQUENCE construits conformément aux prescriptions de sécurité des CEI 601-1 et 601-2-2.

Tous les APPAREILS D'ÉLECTROCHIRURGIE À COURANT HAUTE FRÉQUENCE existants ne respectent pas les prescriptions minimales des Normes internationales actuelles; toutefois les directives contenues dans le présent rapport rendront toujours service pour la maintenance de ces dispositifs.
