1.1 This Standard covers prefabricated septic tanks and sewage holding tanks of steel, concrete, fibreglass-reinforced plastic, or polyethylene construction that are designed to handle domestic sewage.
Note: Sewage holding tanks for use in recreational vehicles are not covered in this Standard. Refer to CSA Standard CAN/CSA-B45.6.
1.2 This Standard provides the minimum requirements for materials, design, capacities, dimensions, workmanship, tests, and markings.
