Preface

CSA Standard C68.2 is the second Standard issued as part of the C68 Series of Standards on Power Cables.

Scope

1.1

This Standard applies to two conductor concentric neutral, thermosetting insulated cables, with or without an overall protective covering, which are to be used for the distribution of electrical energy, customarily installed directly buried in the earth.

1.2

This Standard applies only to power cables 5 kV to 35 kV where the concentric neutral conductor is grounded.

1.3

The insulation thicknesses as covered in this Standard are based on the 100 per cent insulation level grounded neutral system ( see Appendix A).
