Preface

This new Standard is No. 82 of a series of Standards issued by the Canadian Standards Association under Part II of the Canadian Electrical Code.

This Standard was prepared under the jurisdiction of the Committee on CE Code, Part II, which is subsidiary to the Committee on CE Code, Part and I, was formally approved by these Committees and the CSA Technical Council.

This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.

Scope

1.1

This Standard applies to tubular rigid metallic support members and associated fittings intended for the support and connection of supply service wires for installations operating at potentials of 750 volts or less in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.

1.2

This Standard applies to equipment for use with consumer's services in domestic and commercial locations, consisting of not more than four conductors.
