Preface
This is the second edition of CSA C22.2 No. 211.0, General Requirements and Methods of Testing for Nonmetallic Conduit. It supersedes the previous edition published in 1984. It is one of a series of nonmetallic conduit Standards and is written in SI (metric) units.
This Standard contains test methods and requirements that are referenced, as applicable, by other C22.2 No. 211 series Standards. The requirements specified are for rigid nonmetallic conduits, elbows, bends, and associated fittings.
The main change from the 1984 edition is a modification of the vertical flame test (FT4) to allow testing up to trade size 6 (155) and to specify the time for conditioning (Clause 6.12.2.3).
This Standard was prepared by the Subcommittee on C22.2 No. 211, under the jurisdiction of the Technical Committee on Wiring Products and the Strategic Steering Committee on Requirements for Electrical Safety, and has been formally approved by the Technical Committee.
