1.1 This Standard includes requirements for floor, area, and shower drains, and floor cleanouts that are used in residential construction, as defined in Part 9 of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC).
1.2 This Standard includes requirements for materials, outlet connections, integral traps, and tests for top loading, water tightness of backwater valves and cleanouts, and identification marking.
1.3 Drains and cleanouts and roof drains used in nonresidential construction were not considered in the development of this Standard.
