Preface
CSA Standard B335.1, Low Lift and High Lift Trucks, adopted from ANSI Standard B56.1-1975 with the modification noted, is the second edition of a CSA Standard adopted from B56.1. It supersedes the first edition published in 1970 as CSA Standard Z249.2, Safety Standard for Powered Industrial Trucks, which was adopted from ANSI Standard B56.1-1969.
This Standard was reviewed and formally approved for adoption with modification as a CSA Standard by the Committee on Materials Handling and the CSA Standards Policy Board.
Scope
This standard defines safety requirements relating to the elements of design, operation and maintenance of low lift and high lift powered industrial trucks controlled by a riding or walking operator.
