This is the first edition of CSA C49.8, Bare overhead aluminum conductors for distribution applications. This Standard is based on Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) WCWG-03 (95), Bare Overhead Aluminum Conductors (used with permission from CEA).
This Standard specifies requirements for concentric-lay aluminum stranded conductors, with or without a central core of reinforcing steel strand. These conductors are intended for overhead installation on single-phase or three-phase electrical distribution systems.
