This is the first edition of CSA C374, Energy performance of hot tubs and spas.
This Standard provides a test method and energy performance requirements for hot tubs and spas.
CSA is indebted to the California Energy Commission (CEC) for the use of their document Appliance Efficiency Regulations - California Code of Regulations, Title 20, August 2009, in the development of this Standard.
This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.
This Standard applies to electric hot tubs/spas that are factory-built, self-contained packaged units supplied with equipment for heating and circulating water. These units are connected to an electrical supply circuit of 250 V or less (i.e., 125 V maximum to ground).
This Standard specifies test procedures, test conditions, and performance requirements for standby energy performance and markings of electric hot tubs/spas.
This Standard does not include exercise or swim spas.
