    CSA Preface

    Standards development within the Information Technology sector is harmonized with international standards development. Through the CSA Technical Committee on Information Technology (TCIT), Canadians serve as the Canadian Advisory Committee (CAC) on ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee 1 on Information Technology (ISO/IEC JTC1) for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), the ISO member body for Canada and sponsor of the Canadian National Committee of the IEC. Also, as a member of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Canada participates in the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee (ITU-T).

    This Standard supersedes CAN/CSA-ISO/IEC 14662-05 (adoption of ISO/IEC 14662:2004).

    This Standard has been formally approved, without modification, by the Technical Committee and has been approved as a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada.

    Scope

    This International Standard specifies the framework for co-ordinating the integration of existing International Standards and the development of future International Standards for the interworking of Open-edi Parties via Open-edi and provides a reference for those International Standards. As such it serves to guide the International Standards work necessary to accomplish Open-edi by providing the context to be used by developers of International Standards to ensure the coherence and integration of related standardized modelling and descriptive techniques, services, service interfaces, and protocols.

    This International Standard describes, through two perspectives of business transactions, significant aspects relevant to the interoperability of information technology systems used by Open-edi Parties engaging in Open-edi. The perspectives are:

    a) business aspects such as business information, business conventions, agreements and rules among Open-edi Parties;

    b) information technology aspects which are necessary in the Open-edi systems to support the execution of business transactions.

    This International Standard is not an implementation specification, nor is it a basis for appraising the conformance of implementations.

    Préface CSA

    Les normes du secteur de la technologie de l'information sont harmonisées avec les Normes internationales. Au nom du Conseil canadien des normes (CCN), organisme membre de l'ISO et parrain du Comité national canadien de la CEI, le Comité technique CSA sur la technologie de l'information (CTTI) représente le Comité consultatif canadien (CCC) au sein du Comité technique conjoint 1 ISO/CEI sur la technologie de l'information (JTC1 ISO/CEI). En outre, à titre de membre de l'Union internationale des télécommunications (UIT), le Canada fait partie du comité consultatif international télégraphique et téléphonique (CCITT).

    Cette norme remplace la CAN/CSA-ISO/CEI14662-05 (norme ISO/CEI 14662:2004 adoptée).

    De plus, cette norme a été officiellement approuvée, sans modifications, par le Comité technique et approuvée en tant que Norme nationale du Canada par le Conseil canadien des normes

    Domaine d'application

    La présente Norme internationale spécifie le cadre au sein duquel il est possible de coordonner l'intégration de Normes internationales disponibles et l'élaboration de Normes internationales nouvelles permettant à des organisations de coopérer par le truchement de l'EDI-ouvert. Ce cadre constitue un référentiel pour ces Normes internationales. Il sert en effet à guider les travaux de normalisation nécessaires à l'accomplissement de l'EDI-ouvert car il donne le contexte dans lequel doivent se placer les normalisateurs pour pouvoir assurer cohérence et intégration dans une famille de techniques normalisées de modélisation et de description, de services, d'interfaces de service et de protocoles.

    La présente Norme internationale décrit, sous deux vues perspectives des transactions d'affaires, les aspects significatifs ressortant du fonctionnement coopératif entre les systèmes d'information utilisés par des organisations qui s'engagent dans l'EDI ouvert. Ces vues perspectives sont:

    a) les aspects relatifs aux affaires, tels qu'informations d'affaires, conventions d'affaires, accords et règles acceptés entre organisations;

    b) les aspects relatifs aux moyens informatique nécessaires pour que les systèmes d'EDI-ouvert puissent exécuter les transactions d'affaires.

    La présente Norme internationale n'est pas une spécification de mise en oeuvre. Elle ne donne pas non plus de base d'appréciation de la conformité des réalisations aux normes.
