Preface
This is the fifth edition of CSA Standard Z240.2.1, Structural Requirements for Mobile Homes, and forms Dart of the Z240 Series of Standards covering mobile homes. It supersedes previous editions of the Standards published in 1970, 1972, 1976, and 1978.
Scope
1.1 This Standard covers the minimum requirements for materials, products, equipment, and workmanship needed to assure that mobile homes will provide adequate:
(a) Structural strength and rigidity;
(b) Protection against corrosion, decay, insects, and other similar destructive forces;
(c) Protection against the hazards of fire;
(d) Resistance to the elements; and
(e) Durability and economy of maintenance.
