This is the first edition of CSA Standard CAN/CSA-2107.56, Procedures for the Measurement of Occupational Noise Exposure. It forms part of the CSA 2107 Series of Standards on Acoustics and Noise Control.
Scope
1.1
This Standard describes procedures for the measurement of the occupational noise exposure level using sampling techniques. These procedures normally form part of any occupational hearing conservation program. The user of this Standard should be proficient in noise measurement.
Notes:
(1) Measurements are intended to represent the long term noise exposure of employees.
(2) Individual jurisdictions may establish their own measurement duration, eg, 40 h.
