This is the second edition of CSA Standard W117.2. Safety in Welding, Cutting, and Allied Processes, replacing the previous edition W117.2-1974, Code for Safety in Electric and Gas Welding and Cutting Operations. This edition includes the revised content of the 1974 edition and goes much beyond by providing for a complete health and safety program in welding.

This Standard provides minimum requirements and recommendations for the protection of persons from injury and illnessand the prevention of damage to property arising from the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment used for welding, cutting, and allied processes (see Clauses 5 to 10).
