Update #2 was published as notification that this is now a national standard of Canada.
Preface
1.1
This Standard describes testing procedures and states the performance requirements for general service incandescent reflector lamps.
1.2
This Standard includes performance requirements for(a),
(a) wattage
(b) lamp efficacy
(c) centre-beam intensity
(d) rated life.
1.3
This Standard applies to incandescent reflector lamps designed for general lighting use that have,
(a) a rated wattage from 40 W up to and including 205 W
(b) a rated voltage or voltage range that is at least partially between 100 and 130 V
(c) an E26/24 single contact, or E26/50x39 skirted, medium screwbase and
(d) a bulb diameter > than 70 mm.
1.4
This Standard does not apply to
(a) colored lamps
(b) lamps that
(i) are of rough (or vibration) service type and are specifically marked and marketed as rough (or vibration) service lamps
(ii) have a lens containing at least 5% neodymium oxide
(d) lamps used in mines or in airfield, aircraft, automotive, marine, aquarium terrarium, or vivarium applications
(e) a bulb shape designated as BR as described in ANSO Standard C79.1 with
(g) lamps for heat-sensitive application (ie, dichroic cool beam).
