Scope
1.1
This Standard applies to cord-connected electric clocks intended for use in household and other nonhazardous indoor dry locations in accordance with the Rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, and having a rating not exceeding 125 V ac and 30 W input and secondary circuits not exceeding 240 V.
1.2
This Standard includes both motor and electronically driven, di gital and analogue household clocks, with or without alarms and/or dial lights.
1.3
This Standard does not apply to clocks that incorporate a recepta cle, clocks that form a part of a master clock system, time clocks, job card recorders, timers, and similar devices; and clocks in combination with other equipment not primarily designed as a clock (eg, table lamp, radio, or electric range incorporating a clock).
