This recall involves Spirit Halloween 100 Purple String Lights with purple bulbs for indoor and outdoor use.  The product can be identified by item number 01163427, CSA file number 238159 and manufacture date code 04/2015.  Consumers are able to locate the item number on a sticker affixed to the back of the packaging, under the barcode. The CSA file number and the manufacture date code can be found on a white tag affixed to the wire.

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the seasonal lights may pose an electric shock hazard to consumers.

Neither Health Canada nor Spirit Halloween has received reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.

An unknown number of the recalled products were sold at Spirit Halloween stores across Canada and on-line at www.spirithalloween.com. The recalled products were sold from August 2015 to October 2016.
