CSA Group Warns of Light Bulbs Displaying Unauthorized CSA Group Certification Marks

CSA Group, a global provider of testing and certification services and a leading standards development organization, notifies consumers of unauthorized use of CSA Group trademarks on light bulbs sold in the Canadian market. The products include various “Value Power” and “Prestige Lighting” branded light bulb models and styles.  The light bulb packaging displays an unauthorized CSA Group certification mark; the products have not been certified by CSA Group. There have been no reports of injury to date. Potential hazards identified with these light bulbs include electrical shortages, shock, fire and/or a laceration hazard due to exposed stray wire strand. Consumers with the affected models are advised to immediately discontinue use of the product and to contact CSA Group’s anti-counterfeiting team at [email protected].
