CSA Group Warns of Counterfeit CSA Group Certification Mark on General International Magnetic Safety Switches

CSA Group, a global provider of testing, inspection and certification services and a standards development organization, notifies members of the public of a Counterfeit CSA Group Certification Mark on General International Magnetic Safety Switches.
Various models of General International Magnetic Safety Switches bear a counterfeit CSA Group Certification Mark. CSA Group has not tested or certified these Safety Switches to the applicable standards.
Consumers who wish to verify CSA Group certification for authenticity are encouraged to check CSA Group’s certified product listing.
There has been one reported incident whereby the switch failed to operate as intended. End users should immediately stop using the Magnetic Safety Switch and have the Magnetic Safety Switch removed from service by qualified personnel. Distributors and resellers should stop the sale of General International branded Magnetic Safety Switches immediately.
