Yongin, South Korea – October 24, 2024 – CSA Group is proud to announce the grand opening of a state-of-the-art electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) facility in Yongin, South Korea. The laboratory, which spans 1,000 square meters, will offer global testing of commercial products and medical devices, enhancing CSA Group’s testing and certification capabilities in South Korea.

The new facility was fully renovated to include:

• EMC and radio testing: The new facility enhances CSA Group’s EMC testing capabilities, allowing for thorough testing on medical devices, high tech equipment, appliances, and measurement instruments.
• A specialized medical robotics testing lab: This lab is specifically designed to support the rapidly growing field of medical robotics, providing advanced testing and certification services to enhance the safety and reliability of these devices.
• Cutting edge testing resources: The new laboratory is equipped with anechoic chambers up to 10-meters, shielded rooms and a compact chamber.

The facility has received KOLAS (Korean Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) accreditation, and the IAS (International Accreditation Service) on-site assessment has been completed. IECEE CBTL (Certified Body Testing Laboratory) and RRA (National Radio Research Agency) accreditations are expected soon.
