Thailand (NBTC) - 5G NR Implementation on SA (Stand Alone) Test Requirements
Effective November 1, 2020
NBTC announced the implementation of 5G NR test requirements.
As there are some network operators in Thailand announced that they are ready to operate with SA (Stand Alone) mode for 5G NR. NBTC has now required test report to include SA mode for Thailand bands.
5G NR Band for Thailand: n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40, n41, n258
Any type approval certificate will be issued after the effective date November 1, 2020; we will require to submit test report under SA mode for Thailand band. If the product only support NSA, we do not require to submit test report for SA mode).
There is no official regulation announced at the moment. This change has been approved based on NBTC internal documents which are not sharable. NBTC plans to display this info on the website, soon.
