Singapore (IMDA) - Technical Specification for Security Requirements for Cellular Devices (Draft IMDA TS CD-SEC)

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) published the following draft technical specification for public comments ending on January 8, 2020.

Draft Technical Specification for Security Requirements for Cellular Devices (IMDA TS CD-SEC Issue 1)

This specification defines the minimum technical security requirements for design and management of devices implemented on cellular networks. The objective of the requirements is to better safeguard communication networks from security threats in the area of connection efficiency. It also includes the security requirements for Access Control and Over-The-Air (OTA) updating (when implemented).

Devices implemented on cellular networks also need to comply with the Mobile Network Operators’ Radio Frequency Interface requirements defined in the Technical Specification for Cellular Mobile Terminal (IMDA TS CMT) and/or the Technical Specification for Internet of Things (IMDA TS IOT).
