The Federal Service for Accreditation (RusAccreditation) has issued an explanatory statement on equivalence of the number of standards. This statement contains list of withdrawn standards and their valid equivalences.

RusAccreditation explains that if a testing laboratory or center has accreditation to the indicated withdrawn standards, there is no need to confirm the compliance to their valid equivalents, to equip the laboratory with additional measuring and testing facilities or to provide retraining for skills upgrading. The laboratory/ center or certification bodies do not need to modify conformity assessment procedures or expand their scope of accreditation. When they carry out activities, they just need to use new valid standards.
